Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie
The light of the sun – energy source of the future
Efficient, inexpensive and mass producible – these are the solar cells of the future.
The Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin is focusing primarily on thin-film solar cells. New materials and innovative manufacturing processes are being researched for this purpose.
In mostly interdisciplinary projects, the scientists develop laboratory modules, but also prototypes for industrial application. Other research topics include photocatalytic processes and fuel cells.
